This is a little interruption to the South American travel log.
James and I went for a little walk up Short Canyon just west of Ridgecrest yesterday. It was a Friends of the Inyo / California Native Plant Society field trip. Nice wildflowers. It was a two hour drive south from Bishop for us, but that is two hours warmer and a little more rain this year.
In Southern California, now is the time to go flower hunting.
