Interrupting the Trip Journal . . .

I am home and the trip is over, but this blog will continue with posts about the trip in chronological order.  But first a few notes.

I did learn a few things on this vacation and this experiment in blogging.  One is that wifi provided by a satellite connection (as on the cruise ship) is too impossibly slow to use for posting blogs and photos.  I also found I did not have the energy to take advantage of the fast wifi in the ports every other day at the end of a long day of birding.  So I did give up on posting blogs every day during the trip.  

However, I will try to post daily for the next few weeks about each day on the trip hoping my friends and family will enjoy the narrative and the photos.
